Imaging Center

The Breast Center of Texoma is North Texas' first full service Breast Imaging center. Our staff is dedicated to the excellence in care of the breast patient.

The Breast Center has a complete and convenient on-site Imaging center. We have North Texas' first clinic-operated Digital Stereotactic Biopsy System, as well as the new performance standard Lorad M-IV Mammography System. The M-IV is complemented by an Aloka SSD-1400 Ultrasound System. We also feature a state of the art QDR 4000 Diagnostic HOLOGIC Bone Densitometer.

Mammography / CAD (Computer Aided Detection)

Quality mammography is the most important tool of any breast clinic. Our Lorad M-IV Mammography System features a High Transmission Cellular Grid (HTC) that provides unparalleled contrast and resolution over conventional grids. Experience of the technologist is critical in mammographic quality and our certified mammographers have over 60 years of mammogram experience. All mammograms are also evaluated by CAD (computer aided detection). CAD in conjunction with a radiologist's readings is considered over 90% accurate in evaluating mammographic lesions. Breast Ultrasound including CT 3D Ultrasonography

Complimenting the Lorad M-IV is the Aloka SSD-1400 Ultrasound System. When appropriate, mammography can be followed immediately by ultrasonography which offers a rapid and "on the spot" diagnosis for many breast lesions.

Stereotactic Breast Imaging

Digital Stereotactic Breast Imaging is one of the biggest advancements in breast management to date. Utilizing Stereotactic Imaging, a breast lesion seen only on a mammogram can be precisely localized and either biopsied or removed in our breast clinic. This alleviates the need for hospitalization for many breast biopsies. We support all stereotactic biopsy systems: Vacuum-Assisted, ABBI, MIBB, and SiteSelect.

Bone Densitometry

Diagnostic Bone Densitometry (DXA) adds an important dimension in managing our patients' needs in diagnosing, following and treating osteoporosis. We feature the state of the art QDR 4000 Diagnostic HOLOGIC Bone Densitometer. Appointments for densitometry can be made directly to our Breast Clinic at (940) 696-3040.
